During a Joseon epoch in a city of Miryang, Arang (Shin Min Ah) was a pure, beautiful, goodhearted daughter of a magistrate. She grew adult though a mother, and was lifted by a disagreeable caretaker who conspired to have her be raped and busted by a servant. He pounded and she resisted, so he stabbed and killed her, and left her physique to debase in a woods.
Her father a court only believed that she dishonorably eloped with a male and so quiescent his position swathed in shame. Thus a fable goes that each time a new court comes to Miryang to fill a position, Arang’s malicious spook shows adult to tell him her story and he flees in terror.
But one day a new court comes to city — a immature male by a name of Eun Oh (Lee Joon Ki). Arang appears to him like each other court before him, though this male doesn’t flee, and instead sympathizes with Arang, and promises to find her torpedo and revenge her death. (Source)
